Cooking on a snowy day

November 30, 2022 · 1 min read

We were planning to have some friends over for dinner, but we ended up getting a fair bit of snow that day, so they asked to push dinner to the following week. So instead of having them over, we decided to make a video of us cooking the meal we would have ate, so we could send it to them and hopefully make them feel shame for what they missed. Just kidding. I was just in a creative mood.

I recently bought a better phone than the iphone seven I was using in the past, so I was able to take video in (mostly) 4K and 60 fps. In some scenes I forgot to switch it to the hi-def setting, so it snaps back and forth between standard definition and 4K 60 frames unfortunately. I’ve also been in a classical music mood lately, and have been enjoying Vivaldi’s four seasons, so I used one of the songs from the winter part of his concerto as it was fitting to the weather.

Credit to my wife, who did all the cooking while I stood there pointing a phone at her.
