DISCLAIMER: These are private notes I wrote in my public library app about the book prior to creating this site and tracking and writing about all my reading here. I am pasting those notes into this site to consolidate everything. These notes are rough, unintelligent, and pasted as is (spelling mistakes and all). Enjoy.
Got the book because I wanted to read about grueling survival situations. This was kind of like that, but just quite boring. Way too detailed about stuff I don’t care about. Quite an old book, and the author apparently only writes boat books, so I didn’t understand all the terminology they used that I’m sure Captain Jack Sparrow would have easily understood. The story was essentially about two groups of people who got shipwrecked on these islands. One group, though they had their issues had good leadership and worked together, the other group had poor leadership and paid the price.
