Definitely not the most realistic book i’ve ever read, like a lot of things fell into place for this bad boy to resolve the way it did.. (not to mention main character thought the snow covered dumpster in the parking lot was a car.. if she wasn’t stupid enough to think that – the first twist of realizing Ashley and lars were brothers would never have happened and she may have thought of a much better way to save the situation – Its a dumpster!!! Wildly different shape then a car even if completely covered in snow – Just a friggen square) BUT – Was a wild ride of a read for sure. Got pretty violent at 3/4 to end of book – but I piled through this one insanely fast cuz I had to see the outcome. Nice to have a happy ending for once too.. all these mystery books lately seem to just be tragedies for everyone involved and don’t resolve nicely (thinking of the Long Walk and In the Woods which I just recently read)
