Project Hail Mary
Project Hail Mary
Author: Andy Weir
I really enjoyed this book. It was a captivating story that kept me interested the whole time. It had a good amount of science in it, Weir has a reputation for doing a wild amount of research to make his books as scientifically accurate as possible. You feel like you are learning a bit about space, relativity, etc. as you read.
It’s a sci-fi adventure story about a scientist put on a “hail mary” mission to save Earth from a particle they discover in space that feeds off of the sun. As a result, the sun is getting dimmer rapidly, and humanity only has a few decades before massive extinction events start occuring.
There is a movie coming out based on this book in March 2026. It’s the first movie I can think of coming to theatres that I am excited about since the last Cristopher Nolan film, Oppenheimer. The trailer had me excited as well, I hope it doesn’t dissapoint.
