A pretty rough book. Did not see the twist coming that the two main characters were actually the same person (ie – split personality). The premise is interesting, as characters seek spiritual and personal awakening through violence, and escalating mayhem. I see parallels to people who get angry with life, whether its the cards they’ve been dealt, tragedy, hating “the system”, or whatever it is, and lashing out in some way.
The afterword of the book was interesting as the author talked about the success of the book/movie, and how people would contact him after saying they loved the part where the characters tainted peoples drinks with their urine (or worse) and that they’d done the same in real life. (Margaret thatcher was named as a victim).
