Treasure Island

Treasure Island

Author: Robert Louis Stevenson

This is the second book I’ve read from this author, after The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. I wanted a nice quick fun read as I was coming off of reading a behemoth that was the Rise and Fall of the Third Reich.

I’m trying to remember how I knew this story, and all its iconic characters/moments. The black spot. Long John Silver. The mutiny. I can’t recall if it’s from a movie or from reading a kid’s version of the book as a kid. I looked up the movie and only found two versions on IMDB from 1950 and 1990, but neither seemed familiar. As I was looking it up, I read that there was a muppets version, and I can feel my brain sparking a bit, so maybe I watched that version.

Anyways. A fun read.
