The Man Who Mistook his Wife for a Hat

The Man Who Mistook his Wife for a Hat

Author: Oliver Sacks

A fairly interesting book about some pretty crazy neurological disorders that the author dealt with during his practice. Including, get this, a man who mistook his wife for a hat.

This is an older book from the early 20th century, so I think our understanding of many of these conditions has grown or evolved. Even the concept of neuroplasticity was likely unknown or not fully appreciated yet.

I didn’t love the book overall, especially relative to the praise/reviews the book seems to get.
